We are counting on Mother Nature to cooperate. How ever if she doesn't we will work with the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism for an alternate date. Our reason for choosing the date we have is that it is traditionally our best boating weather. Calm seas and afternoon thunderstorms are the norm:)

What is the contingency plan in the event of inclement weather before or during the trip?

Hello John,

Thank you for your inquiry. I have boats departing from both the Ft. Pierce Inlet and the St. Lucie Inlet. You are responsible for your own flags and decal. For flags, you need the US, Bahamian and yellow quarantine flags. The $300 event costs (not including hotel) needs to be paid by May 15th. The $150 (for vessels under 35') is due upon arrival and includes the $15 per person head tax for up to 4 people and your fishing license. I'll need to know the length of your vessel for the reservation but marina fees will be paid directly to the marina at Lucaya. The hotel that we are staying at is the Our Lucaya Village and the $750 package includes the event, and hotel room for 2 people (3 nights and 4 days). There is a link to the hote; on our website. Just click on the Our Lucaya Village on the registration page. The Captain's Briefing will take place at the APP Jet Center @ the St. Lucie County Airport on June 23. We will give each Captain and Pilot a nice bag and a t-shirt for each registered participant. Also, we will provide everyone with a discount coupon book for a variety of activities while in Port Lucaya. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, Please feel free to e-mail me; airandsearegatta@aol.com. We would love for you to join us:)

April, can you provide us some more information about the trip? The event website appears to be missing some basic information. Some questions a few of us have are- Where is departure? We are responsible for our own customs decal and 3 flags, correct? Total costs without the hotel room option are 300+150 upon arrival, +1 per foot plus electric, water, and tv, correct? Lastly can you confirm we would be staying at http://www.ourlucaya.com/ ? Thanks!
